Shannon Syring, R.N., has been employed with Sylvana Research Associates for over 23 years. As
the Clinical
Trials Manager, she has been successfully involved in coordinating and/or managing over 400 phase I-IV research protocols.
She has also been a key participant in 11 FDA audits. She has extensive knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Quality
Assurance, and Regulatory Requirements. She received her nursing degree from San Antonio College School of Nursing in 1989,

Patricia Kassner, R.N., CCRC, has been employed with Sylvana Research for 9 years. She received
her nursing degree from San Antonio College School of Nursing and her certification in clinical research from the ACRP.
Tricia has been a research coordinator for thirteen years and her extensive professional background includes progressive
management experience in the clinical research industry, punctuated by a solid record of achievement in program development,
personnel management, staff education, quality assurance and successful patient recruitment and support. Tricia's energy and

Veronica Trevino Garcia, MSN, RN, C-FNP, is a Sub-Investigator with Sylvana Research
Associates. Since 1999, she has conducted Phase I-IV clinical trials involving Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia,
Allergic Rhinitis, Asthma, COPD, Insomnia, Sinusitis, Vaccine Development, Women's Health, Alzheimer's, Osteoporosis, Obesity,
Influenza and Dermatology. In 1994, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and
has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 12 years. Together, she and Dr. Ratner, along with the Sylvana Research staff,
work diligently for the successful development of FDA approved pharmaceutical products.
